This is a painting about art. The two ends of the art pole being the "philistine" who knows nothing about art and the other end being the radical "avant garde" artists who care only about art. This is a portrait of the philistine ravaged by the avant garde artist and still being blind to the artists intentions. Contempt and ignorance toward one another is never going to bring opposing minds together. There must be a catalyst to induce understanding and pathos. I suggest a little soul seasoning to complete the process. In the picture I try to think of myself as the salt shaker.

The demise of the dodo is attributed to the careless actions of humans. Each one of us carries a portion of what made that particular extinction possible. Be it appathy, indifference or simple ignorance, each time you exercise one of those traits you weaken the cage that holds all that guilt inside.

Computers are tools that have revolutionized our planet yet they still can deliver us back to our primal roots. You know that feeling you get when a file is slipping away into binary oblivion and a piece of you goes with it. We're not so far from the cave after all.
